Zipwhip announced that it would be shutting down after the text messaging company was acquired by Twilio in July 2021. To give its customers time to find an alternative texting platform, Zipwhip scheduled its shutdown date for December 1, 2023. (This is an extension from Zipwhip’s original sunset date of December 1, 2022.) Given Zipwhip’s status, companies using the platform need to find a new text messaging provider by the end of the year so they can text their customers without interruption.

Heymarket just works
We have used ZipWhip for several years. They were recently purchased by another company and will shut down at the end of 2022. I contacted two other SMS companies; both were more expensive than I wanted to spend for what we use SMS for. HeyMarket has exactly the product we need for a price we can afford. And I have seldom seen better customer service. Every time I have reached out, I get a quick response and they are always helpful.

When is Zipwhip shutting down?
The Zipwhip shutdown date is December 1, 2023. (Twilio extended the deadline from its original shutdown date of December 1, 2022.)
What data will I be able to migrate?
You can transfer contacts (including their phone numbers), opted out and in lists, groups (which turn into Heymarket Lists), templates, and users. While you transition from Zipwhip to Heymarket, your team will be able to continue texting customers without disruption.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. Heymarket will port over your current business line. All customer chats will transition over too, so you can pick up right where you left off.
